mumbai - A few rats who saw a tasty bite in the banknotes, have paid 1.2 million rupees in India, about 15,000 euros. The money was in a cash machine in the northeast of the country, Indian media reported.
The brutal robbery was only discovered when the machine no longer spent money. Employees of the bank who were going to take a pole position, found hundreds of banknotes that had been torn down. Who or what the culprit was soon became clear: in the middle of the eaten fortune was a dead rat.
'It looks like rats have slipped through the machine through a small opening,' a local police spokesman said. On Twitter, there are already photos of the virtually empty ATM.
