karachi - In the Pakistani city of Karachi, 65 people have been killed since Saturday by a heat wave. According to an aid organization, there are many people among the victims who adhere strictly to Ramadan, which coincides with the heat wave. The victims adhered to the fasting provision that during the day can not be eaten or drunk.

The temperatures in the city with 15 million inhabitants rise to 44 degrees. The city is often described as a concrete jungle. There is little green that can provide some cooling.

In 2015, at least 1000 victims were killed in Karachi under the same conditions.
