canberra - Australia is plagued by bad weather. In the last 24 hours is more than 200 millimeters of rain fell in the northern city of Darwin. The heavy rain caused chaos on the roads and took Saturday at least two people died, reports the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.

A man drowned when he rescued a girl from a flooded river. The man in his forties jumped into the water and brought the girl to safety, but had his heroic deed kill workers. The strong current pulled with the man and he was later found dead.

Another man was killed when his car hit the skid and crashed into a traffic light. The car caught fire. Two passengers managed to escape, but could with the help of a passerby the driver did not get out of the car on time.
