Rail traffic disrupted: 100 000 Chinese stranded

amsterdam - Who this morning on a cold, windy platform had to wait for a regular train that just will not come, must remember this: it could be worse. For example, in China.

No less than 100 000 people were standing shoulder to shoulder today stuck in and outside the station of Guangzhou. Many Chinese take these days to the countryside to usher in the New Year with family there, but the weather put a stop to it.

Train traffic was impossible due to snowfall and frost in the south of the People's Republic- dozens of trains were not or substantial delays. Around the Chinese New Year are made almost three billion train journeys. The end of 2014 came to Shanghai dozens of people killed by oppression.
