rome - A brutal robbery in an archaeological museum in Rome. Two armed robbers decided to raid the Central Montemartini museum on Sunday while the visitors lined up. They managed to earn 10,000 euros.

While one of the robbers aimed a gun at an employee, the second robber summoned an employee to leave him at the safe. The thieves dragged the safe to the exit, where a third robber was waiting with a race car, reported the Italian Rai News.

No one was injured in the robbery. Nor was anything stolen from the museum's art collection. Through eyewitnesses and security cameras, the police are now looking for the robbers.

The Central Montemartini museum is housed in a former power plant and opened in 1997. Many classical statues from antiquity can be admired in the museum.
