russia, ukraine, us - Russian President Putin invites the US to collaborate in mining rare elements in Russia, amid ongoing discussions between Washington and Kiev.

Putin's Proposal to Trump

Russian President Vladimir Putin has proposed a collaboration with the US to mine rare elements in Russia, stating that Russia's underground wealth, including rare elements, surpasses Ukraine's by a hundredfold. Putin mentioned that discussions on normalizing relations between Russia and the US have led to Russian and American businessmen initiating talks on beneficial rare elements and metals. The Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov outlined two conditions for restarting extensive economic cooperation between the US and Russia, emphasizing the need for reestablishing bilateral diplomatic relations and finding a permanent solution to the Ukraine crisis. Ongoing discussions between the US and Ukraine regarding a rare element agreement have been ongoing for two weeks, with Trump reportedly seeking approximately $500 billion in compensation from the Ukrainian government in exchange for military aid.
