ankara - Turkey, Russia and Iran have promised to make an extra effort to put an end to the violence in Syria and to better protect the civilian population. In a joint statement following summit talks in Ankara, Presidents Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Vladimir Putin and Hassan Rohani called on Wednesday to expand the international community, and especially the United Nations, on aid to Syria.
