Pubs open longer at Prince Harry's wedding

- The British pubs may stay open for two hours longer on May 19, after the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The pubs only have to close their doors in the night of 19 to 20 May at 1 am instead of 11 pm. This has been announced by Minister of the Interior Amber Rudd.

The wedding of Prince Harry is a national holiday, Rudd argues. The British association of pubs welcomes the decision. Director Brigid Simmonds says that this decision allows the British to raise the glass in a responsible manner on Harry and Meghan, while at the same time benefiting the pub and beer industry.

The last time the British closing times were stretched was during the celebration of the ninetieth birthday of Queen Elizabeth in 2016.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle marry in the St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle. On Friday, Kensington Palace announced that the couple were calling in 2640 Britons who were in first place at Windsor Castle on arrival and departure of the bride and groom and their guests.

Harry and Meghan have asked for a cross-section of the entire population with different backgrounds and ages with special preference for people who have meant something to society. After the ceremony, the couple makes a tour in a carriage through the town of Windsor, eventually returning to the castle.
