Protest and Incident

After the jump, the man appeared motionless in the water, as captured in a video by SOTAvision. Emergency responders retrieved him from the river and provided medical attention, although his current condition remains unknown.

No arrests were made following the incident, which is a rare occurrence in Moscow where anti-Putin demonstrations have significantly decreased. The political climate in Russia has seen increased suppression of dissent since the annexation of Crimea and the conflict in Ukraine, leading to the arrest and disappearance of many critics.

Last November, police detained a masked individual for a similar protest against Putin on a billboard in central Moscow.
