islamabad - The Islamists who have been campaigning for several days at the Pakistani capital Islamabad are ending their protest after the government has approved the departure of the Minister of Justice. That was announced by a spokesperson for the group.

Pakistani state TV PTV confirms the minister's resignation, which was Islam's most important demand. They wanted him away because he changed an oath in the elections so that they led to blasphemy.

In the weekend, the Islamists got into trouble with the police. Activists set fire to vehicles on Sunday and then retreated to the protest camp that they have been organizing for more than two weeks on the main exit road of the city. On Saturday, six people were killed and 125 wounded in the fighting between the police and the Islamists.
