moscow - Russia has evidence that foreigners are responsible for the recent attack with chemical weapons in the Syrian city of Douma. Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov said that Friday, reported the state news agency Sputnik.

According to Lavrov, the chemical attack was the work of security services of a country that leads the way in a 'campaign of Russia phobia. 'He did not say which country he had in mind.

The relationship of Russia with Great Britain, the United States and other Western countries is currently very tense. The Americans are considering an attack on Syria in retaliation for a chemical attack by presumably the regime of President Bashar al-Assad. Moscow is an ally of Assad.

Furthermore, Great Britain holds Russia responsible for the nerve gas attack in Salisbury on former double-spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia.
