FAA Statement
The Federal Aviation Administration announced that the Learjet 55 crashed shortly after departing Northeast Philadelphia Airport on Friday, January 31, around 6:30 pm local time. The aircraft was en route to Springfield-Branson National Airport in Missouri.
Emergency Response
The Philadelphia City Emergency Management Office issued a warning to stay away from the area near Cottman and Bustleton Avenues, across from the Roosevelt Shopping Center. Governor Josh Shapiro of Pennsylvania stated that all resources are being provided to respond to the small private jet crash in Northeast Philadelphia.
