President of Macedonia partially removes amnesty

skopje - President Gjorge Ivanov of Macedonia has partly withdrawn its controversial amnesty for a large group of politicians. Instead of the planned 56 34 politicians remain immune from possible prosecution in connection with a hacking scandal.

Ivanov caused a stir when he decided to delete the criminal cases against 56 politicians. Not only the opposition demanded his resignation, the people massively went to the streets to protest.
