Premier League Clubs Compete for Dortmund Star Gittens

Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly the top contenders in the battle to secure the services of Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Gittens. The 20-year-old has attracted interest with his impressive performance, contributing to 14 goals in 32 matches this season. Barcelona, facing financial challenges, has decided to withdraw from the race, leaving the English clubs in the forefront. Gittens could potentially be acquired for €80 million.

Rejected Offers by Barcelona

Barcelona has declined the opportunity to sign Bayern Munich's Joshua Kimmich and Liverpool's Virgil van Dijk. The club's sporting director, Deco, emphasized the focus on utilizing the current squad and prioritizing young talents. Kimmich, 30, and van Dijk, 33, who are available for pre-contract agreements, were not included in Barcelona's plans due to the club's financial situation.

Liverpool's Search for a Centre-Back

Liverpool is intensifying their search for a center-back. With uncertainty surrounding Virgil van Dijk's contract, the Reds are exploring options. Bournemouth's Dean Huijsen is a prominent candidate on their radar. The 20-year-old defender is seen as a suitable fit for manager Arne Slot's system, with a reported release clause of £55 million.
