A powerful geomagnetic storm resulting from recent solar flares is expected to impact the Earth today. The storm, reaching a G3 (strong) level, is forecasted to be observed from December 31st at 05:00 until January 1st at 06:00 (Turkey time).

Ryan French, an astrophysicist studying the sun, shared insights on the matter via his X social media account, noting the recent strong solar flares leading to this upcoming geomagnetic storm.

According to a report on Space.com, the storm is expected to cause geomagnetic disturbances, often seen in northern countries, resulting in colorful lights in the sky known as auroras, which might be visible from various countries.
