Possibly more terms Chinese president

beijing - The central committee of the Chinese Communist Party wants the limit to lapse on the number of successive terms that a president and vice president may serve. That reported the state news agency Xinhua. Now that is two terms.

It is one of the proposals that will be discussed during the three-day meeting of the party summit that starts on Monday. The committee is the most powerful body within the party and consists of 204 members and 170 deputy members.

Another proposal is to record the thoughts of party leader and president Xi Jinping in the constitution. There is also the intention to promote the new anti-corruption committee as a state organ.
