rome - The Vatican reports Pope Francis' condition as 'complex' due to a respiratory infection, requiring a longer hospital stay.

Pope Francis' Health Update

The Vatican reveals that Pope Francis, hospitalized for bronchitis, faces a 'complex' condition with a respiratory infection, extending his stay. His recent health challenges include respiratory issues, leading to event cancellations.

Before his admission, Pope Francis struggled with breathing, delegating his speech. Initially scheduled events were canceled until Monday, with the weekly Wednesday audience now also canceled. A Vatican spokesperson noted a peaceful night for the Pope and emphasized no reason for alarm.

Pope Francis, leading the Catholic Church since 2013, has faced recurring health problems, previously hospitalized for similar issues. His recent admission follows a busy period, highlighting the need for extended medical care.
