Pope to ' open air prison ' in CAR

- Pope Francis brings Monday in the Central African Republic (CAR) is expected to visit a Muslim enclave in the capital Bangui. The prelate must therefore be cross hundreds of meters of no man's land, where Christian militias operate.

The purpose of the visit is reconciliation between the Muslim minority and Christians closer. Francis therefore go Monday to the small enclave PK5, where many Muslims have sought refuge. Christian militias in the meantime prevent the Muslims to leave the area or that stockpiles be brought inside.

The imam of the mosque who wants to visit the pope described the enclave recently as an open-air prison. " We have no access to the hospital, education or our cemeteries ", said imam Ahmadou Moussa Tidjane Naibi.
