'Pope settles'

- No matter how many times the Pope asks for forgiveness for the abuse in the Catholic Church, Dutch parishioners are fed up with new scandals, according to a round trip. Henk Rijkers of the conservative Catholic foundation Civitas Christiana hopes for a move that makes others impossible: that Pope Francis resigns.

'After all, he does not appear to be the great reformer, but someone who keeps an abuser above him', explains Rijkers after reading the eleven pages long indictment of Archbishop Viganò. That is the former American nuncio, the ambassador of the Vatican and a very prominent church director. He accuses Pope Francis of covering up fornication committed by Archbishop Mc Carrick. Rijkers: 'When he took office in 2013, Franciscus received a chronicle of sexual abuse, but admitted that he was allowed to perform in public on behalf of the church. 'That's why Francis has to resign, says Viganò.
