Pope arrived in Egypt

cairo - Pope Franciscus arrived on Friday for an official two day visit to Egypt. He will meet with President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi among others.

The papal visit is accompanied by sharp security measures. Earlier this month, in two attacks on churches in northern Egypt, more than forty died.

Expectations for the visit are high. The church president spoke to Cairo himself on a journey of 'unity and brotherhood'. Franciscus will also talk to some religious leaders. The visit has the motto 'Pope of Peace in an Egypt of Peace'.
