Police warn of life-threatening hype

mechelen - The Mechelen police warn of a life-threatening game played by some young people in the Belgian city. They suddenly jump for a moving car, so the driver has to brake immediately. That writes Gazet van Antwerpen.

Eyewitnesses tell the police how these young people did these dangerous stunts while others were filming the scene. 'On the side were some other young people. It was clear that they encouraged their comrades, found it all fantastic and afterwards overpowered him with compliments because he had done it ', says Wim Albrechts.

The hype mainly occurred on the Tervuursesteenweg in Mechelen. 'These are facts that can not be controlled. These young people play not only with their own safety, but also with those of other road users ', according to Dirk Van de Sande of the Mechelen-Willebroek police.

Yet films by the bystanders have not yet come online. Nor have there been any emdlingen of victims or damage to vehicles. However, the police call for immediate declaration.
