Police made 24 victims with firearms last year

the hague - In shooting incidents involving the police, four people were killed and 20 injured last year. This happened in 23 incidents, reports the Public Prosecution Service on the basis of figures from the National Criminal Investigation Department.

It only concerns cases where there were injuries or deaths due to the use of firearms by agents. 2017 had the lowest number of shooting incidents in the past five years.

Although the number of shooting incidents last year was relatively low (in other years there were about ten more incidents), the number of fatalities is relatively high. In 2015, for example, 29 people were injured but no deaths occurred.
