Police in conversation with novitsjok victim

london - The British police have spoken for the first time with novitsjok victim Charlie Rowley. He is no longer in critical condition, reports the British Sky News.

The authorities are trying to find out how the man and his now deceased partner came into contact with the substance. The researchers talked to Rowley briefly at the hospital and want to try him again in the coming days.

The authorities believe that the man (45) and the 44-year-old Dawn Sturgess became infected because they came into contact with an infected object. It is being investigated whether there is a connection with the poisoning of the former Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter, who were also exposed to novitsjok.

A senior police official said that he would be surprised if there was no connection between the cases. He also acknowledged that the authorities can not guarantee that no traces of Novichokes are present in Wiltshire, where both the Skripals and the two Britons have become infected.
