Plane passengers fixed in Innsbruck

World December 31, 2017 23:00

innsbruck - Approximately 750 passengers of Transavia are stuck due to persistent fog at Innsbruck Airport. The airline had to cancel five flights on Sunday. This meant that passengers could not fly to the Austrian city and passengers who would return with the aircraft also saw their flight canceled.

According to a spokesperson for the airline, the airport of the popular winter sports destination is looking for solutions for the stranded travelers to spend the night of old on new. Transavia had first tried to arrange bus transport for the passengers, but that was not feasible on New Year's Eve. Passengers can change their flight to the next flight for free or cancel for free. The spokeswoman could not say how many Dutch people are concerned.

Not only Transavia, but also other airlines are affected by the weather in Innsbruck.
