Residents of Manbij Forced to Flee Due to PKK/YPG Rocket Attacks

In Manbij, Syria, civilians are caught between evacuating their homes or living in fear due to the relentless rocket attacks by PKK/YPG. The terror group's attacks have caused significant damage to civilian areas, leading to a mass exodus of the population.

Fear and Uncertainty Grips the Residents

The residents of Manbij, especially in the el Hafse district, are living in constant fear of being targeted by PKK/YPG's attacks. The ongoing bombardments have left the streets deserted, houses abandoned, and buildings in ruins.

Ahmet Sayil, a local resident, described the atmosphere of fear and anxiety that has engulfed the town, with people abandoning their livelihoods and possessions to escape the violence.

Hüseyin Abdullah, another resident, highlighted the dire living conditions in the area, with no access to water, closed schools, and a sense of uncertainty prevailing among the population.

The relentless bombing by PKK/YPG has not only destroyed infrastructure but also disrupted essential services like water supply, making life unbearable for the residents.

Economic Hardships and Humanitarian Crisis

Abdullah emphasized the deteriorating economic situation in the town, with livelihoods destroyed and no prospects for repair or recovery due to the ongoing attacks.

The residents are calling for an end to the violence and a cessation of PKK/YPG's destructive activities, which have plunged the town into a humanitarian crisis.
