diyarbakir - Six condemned fighters of the Kurdish separatist PKK escaped from a prison in southeast Turkey. It reports the Turkish daily

The prison where the six escaped from standing in Kayapınar, a town in the province of Diyarbakir. The guards noticed the escape on Sunday morning. The identity of the escapees was not disclosed, but according to Hürriyet they were found among more guilty of membership of a terrorist organization.

The Turkish army is involved in several towns in southeast Turkey in a fierce battle with the PKK. The violence erupted last year in earnest on, including in the provincial capital Diyarbakir.
