sofia - The Bulgarian cow Penka does not come to an end after a trip to a Serbian pasture. 'The cow is not killed,' says a spokeswoman for the Bulgarian Ministry of Food Safety. The animal had exceeded the EU limits and according to the legislation an animal that has been outside the EU can no longer be traced back.

Many people withdrew the fate of Penka, including former Beatle Paul McCartney. The British newspaper Daily Telegraph started a petition. Finally, a veterinarian concluded that the animal had contracted diseases in Serbia, allowing Penka to stay with her flock for the rest of her life.
