halifax, canada - An airplane traveling from St. John's to Halifax in Canada caught fire on its left side during landing at Halifax International Airport, causing a panic among passengers.

An airplane en route from St. John's to Halifax in Canada faced a terrifying incident during its landing at Halifax International Airport. According to CBC News, the aircraft belonging to PAL Airlines left St. John's for Halifax. Smoke was seen coming out of the left side of the plane as it approached the airport at around 9:30 PM local time, with a part of the aircraft catching fire. Passenger Nikki Valentine mentioned that the left wing of the plane scraped the ground for a while and caught fire due to the landing gear not opening properly. She stated that there were approximately 80 passengers on board, although the airport did not provide details about the exact number of passengers.

Passengers who were evacuated from the plane underwent health checks after the incident.
