Part German anti-terror legislation illegal

karlsruhe - The court, which monitors the constitution in Germany, has spoken out against parts of legislation Wednesday that investigators have more powers to combat terrorism. Part of this is the use of so-called 'Bundestrojaner', specially developed software to spy on computers of suspects.
Vice President Ferdinand Kirchhof of the court, the Federal Constitutional Court, said that the proposed legislation does not have to conflict with the fundamental rights of citizens, but in its current form, the legislature supports the extension of powers insufficient.
