Parents Arrested After Baby Found Among 40 Animals and Dead Goat

In a shocking discovery, parents Kayla Renard and Nicholas Foley were arrested in South Carolina after authorities found them with their baby in deplorable conditions, surrounded by over 40 animals and a dead goat in a bathtub.

Appalling Living Conditions

The police, alerted by child protective services, found numerous raccoons, rabbits, dogs, cats, and chickens in the filthy house, covered in animal feces and waste. The decaying body of a goat was discovered in the bathtub.

Rescue Operation

Due to the large number of animals, local authorities sought help from a nearby animal shelter to safely remove over 40 animals from the property.

Police Statement

Chris Miller, police chief of Honea Path, described the scene as one of the most gruesome he has witnessed in his 30-year career. The parents remained calm and emotionless during questioning.

Legal Actions

Renard and Foley face charges of child neglect, animal abuse, and violation of municipal ordinances. Foley posted a $10,000 bond for his release.
