Released Palestinian Prisoners Welcomed in Ramallah

Palestinian prisoners released by Israel were greeted with enthusiasm by their families and crowds in the city of Ramallah in the West Bank. The prisoners, transported from Ofer Military Prison by bus, arrived at the Cultural Palace in Ramallah accompanied by International Red Cross teams.

As the prisoners stepped off the bus, they were embraced by their loved ones, leading to emotional moments. Some of the visibly exhausted prisoners were taken to the hospital for medical care.

During the reception, Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governor Laila Ghannam criticized the Israeli army for releasing the Palestinian prisoners in clothing with 'racist and provocative expressions', stating that alternative clothing was provided. Ghannam also mentioned that some prisoners reported skin diseases and expressed a desire for medical check-ups.
