Packages with Possible Drugs Washed Ashore on Vlieland and Ameland Islands

waddeneilanden - Multiple packages have washed ashore along the coast of Vlieland and Ameland, potentially containing drugs. The majority of the packages were found on the beach of Ameland.
Several packages were discovered on Vlieland on Friday, and even more were found on both islands the following day. The police are investigating the contents of the packages and will proceed to destroy them once identified.
Last month, drug packages were also found in Scheveningen and along the coast near Ouddorp, Rockanje, and Oostvoorne.
