- The pacemakers and other implants of the American company St. Jude Medical can be hacked, say an investor and a cyber research. Independent experts have confirmed, they told Monday.

Business investment and research firm Muddy Waters MedSec arrived in August for the first time with their claim. Now they have Bishop Fox research to do. That study would prove among other things that implants distance can be changed to '' weapons '', which give patients a shock. That worked three meters away. With special equipment would be even 30 meters can, says Bishop Fox.

As an example, the report cites an implanted cardioverter defibrillator (ICD). Which can give a jolt that causes a heart attack. The report complains ' missing or effective safeguards'.

St. Jude denies all the allegations and the complainants sued.
