Orange smog alarm in Beijing: companies have to reduce emissions

beijing - Beijing has again issued a smog alarm. It is the second time this month that the problems with the smog are so great in the Chinese capital that an alarm is being made.

Code orange was issued, the second heaviest warning. With code orange, certain companies must reduce their emissions.

In January there was already code orange. Still, it is better with the sky in Beijing. The city has achieved the largest reduction of air pollution in all 28 northern cities. No code red has yet been issued in 2018.

In August, the Chinese government presented an ambitious plan that provides for 15% reduction of air pollution.
