damascus - International inspectors from the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) went to Douma on Saturday to investigate whether that Syrian city has become the target of a poison gas attack. The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has made it known.
More than a week ago, a team of OPCW inspectors arrived in Syria to investigate whether a poison gas attack on Douma had actually been carried out and to see which gas was used. Western countries are convinced that the regime of Syrian President Bashar has bombarded al-Assad Douma with chemical weapons.
So far, the OPCW mission did not get the opportunity to do research in Douma. According to Russia, the mission was delayed by the rocket attacks of the Americans, British and French last Saturday on Syrian targets.
