douma - Experts from the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) have again conducted research in the Syrian city of Douma. They looked for traces of a possible poison gas attack. The samples are transferred to the OPCW laboratory in Rijswijk, the organization announced.
It was the second visit of the researchers to Douma. They arrived in Syria earlier this month to investigate whether a poison gas attack on Douma has actually been carried out and to see which gas has been used. Western countries are convinced that the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has bombarded the city with chemical weapons.
