Online gambling is legal in the Netherlands

- The Lower House voted Thursday to, gesoebat after a few years, to make online gambling legal. Through the legalization of online gambling gamblers get more certainty about their invested funds.

The room was a long time do not agree on the amount of tax that winners must pay their prices. Government parties VVD and PvdA eventually agreed that the tariff also for online gambling is 29 percent.

The government wanted a rate of 20 percent, 9 percent lower than casinos and lotteries in the Netherlands, not to walk out of step with other countries.
