- Dutch online retailers are a busy time ahead. More than 21 percent of annual online purchases take place during the Christmas season. Adobe predicts in its Digital Index 2015 Online Shopping Prediction.
In our country December 14, the busiest day for online sales. We give on that day jointly 149.6 million euros. That is € 9.39 per person. We will spend this year some € 5.5 billion in online Christmas shopping. An increase of seven percent over last year.
Although low prices and offers remain bait, saving consumers no longer here. They are increasingly looking for product reviews and information on social media to read in their purchases.
The predictions are based on an analysis of 55 million orders and anonymous data from more than one billion visits 4500 websites of retailers over the past seven years.
