moscow - The Russian security service reported that a 29-year-old Uzbek has been arrested for the fatal bombing of General Igor Kirillov and his assistant in Moscow.
Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, head of the nuclear, biological, chemical defense force, was leaving an apartment building early Tuesday morning when an explosive hidden in an electric scooter remotely detonated.
According to state media, Russian security services stated that the suspect had been recruited by the Ukrainian intelligence service.
An Ukrainian source revealed on Tuesday that the assassination was orchestrated by the Ukrainian security service.
