maagdenburg - The number of injured in the attack in the German city of Maagdenburg has been revised from 235 to 299, according to the regional Ministry of Interior. Among the injured are twelve individuals with non-German or dual nationality. The attack resulted in five fatalities, with the death toll remaining unchanged. Nearly 1 million euros have been raised for the victims of the attack.

A 50-year-old driver drove at high speed into visitors of the Christmas market in Maagdenburg on December 20. The suspect is a doctor from Saudi Arabia who has been living in Germany since 2006. He remains in custody, and the investigation into the motive is ongoing.
