stockholm - The North Korean foreign minister Ri Yong-ho, who is a guest in Stockholm, also talks to the Swedes on Saturday. This reinforces the suspicion that the summit meeting between US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un will be held in the Scandinavian country.

Diplomat Ri, who rarely comes abroad, met Friday with his Swedish colleague Margot Wallström and also spoke with Head of Government Stefan Löfven. No announcements were made about the contents. The spokesperson for the ministry only said that the talks would be continued on Saturday. Löfven repeated after the interview that he was prepared to act as a mediator between Trump and Kim.

Trump assumes that he can sit down with Kim at the end of May. He was cautiously optimistic about the latest developments during telephone consultation with South Korean President Moon Jae-in, explained the White House. Trump and Moon agreed that only concrete actions and not words are the key to sustainable denuclearization on the Korean peninsula.
