North Korea sends orchestra to Games

seoul - North Korea is sending an orchestra to South Korea during the Olympic Winter Games next month. The South Korean government announced after consultation with the North Koreans that 140 musicians from the Samjiyon Orchestra will give a concert in the capital Seoul and in Gangneung where parts of the Games will be held.

The leader of the North Korean girl band Moranbong, Hyon Song wool, also participated in the conversations Monday at the Panmunjom border crossing. She leads the pop group formed in 2012 at the request of the North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un and who performs in Western style and plays both propaganda and pop. Nothing was reported about the possible arrival of Moranbong to the south, according to South Korean news agency Yonhap.
