pyongyang/seoul - South Korean military suspects North Korea's recent ballistic missile launch may have been a test for exporting missiles, firing multiple short-range missiles towards Japan.

North Korea's Ballistic Missile Launch Raises Concerns

The South Korean military revealed that North Korea launched multiple ballistic missiles, initially reported as one, from the east coast city of Wonsan towards the Japanese Sea. The missiles flew approximately 800 kilometers before crashing into the sea.

Possible Export Testing

Experts suggest that the recent missile launch could have been a performance test for exporting missiles, with suspicions that North Korea has exported short-range ballistic missiles to Russia for potential use in the conflict in Ukraine.

Despite denials from Pyongyang and Moscow regarding the weapon trade, recent reports confirm North Korean troops' involvement in fighting on the frontlines in the border region of Kursk.
