North Korea is already hearing about top in Singapore

pyongyang/seoul - North Korean state television Monday spent six minutes on the upcoming meeting of leader Kim Jong-un with US President Donald Trump. The North Koreans officially did not know anything about the top in Singapore.

For North Korean standards this announcement comes very early, the BBC reported. The activities of dictator Kim are hardly ever reported in advance by state television. They are only reported when the leader is back home after things have been done.

Kim and Trump arrived in Singapore on Sunday. They meet at 09.00 hours (03.00 hours our time) and first go into conversation with only the interpreters. After that, other officers move on. It is not clear how long the summit will last if the two can get along. Trump has said that in a few minutes he already knows if his interlocutor is serious.

The White House has talked about a private meeting and a working lunch from Kim and Trump. Then the summit will last until the afternoon. Earlier, a newspaper in Singapore reported that Kim plans to return to North Korea at 2.00 pm. Trump has promised to speak to the press at 20.00. In Singapore it is six hours later than in the Netherlands.
