No politicians penalized for diesel gate

amsterdam - No politician is punished for diesel gate, the scandal diesel cars from Volkswagen. A special investigation suspects that European top politicians were aware for years of the scandal, but says he is opposed to the search for evidence, the AD reports.

The committee Diesel Gate, which consists of 45 MEPs, took a year-long investigation into the 'sjoemelsoftware' car manufacturers and the role of politicians. AD spoke with five senior members of the committee. They argue that Europe and the Member States in the case have failed entirely in their oversight of the auto industry, there were numerous indications of the skulduggery of the companies.
