fez, morocco - A building collapse in Fez, Morocco, has resulted in nine fatalities and seven injuries. Local authorities are conducting an investigation into the incident.

Nine Dead in Building Collapse in Fez, Morocco

Nine individuals lost their lives and seven were injured after a building collapsed in the Moroccan city of Fez during the night from Thursday to Friday. Immediate rescue efforts were launched, with some of the injured reported to be in critical condition. Evacuations of nearby houses were carried out as a precaution.

Building Collapse Details

The multi-story building was situated in a residential area of northern Fez. A local government source revealed that the building was identified as being at risk of collapse. Authorities have initiated an inquiry to determine the cause of the tragic incident.

Past Incidents

This is not the first building collapse in Fez. In February 2024, a similar incident claimed the lives of five individuals in an old district of the city.
