Nicotine distress leads to imprisonment

hamburg - The sigh for nicotine has given a 46-year-old German man a prison sentence. The need was so great that he lit a cigarette at the Hamburg central station despite the smoking ban there. Patrolling policemen stopped him.

When checking his identity, an arrest warrant was issued against the tobacco addict.

According to the police, it was issued for not paying a fine of more than 2400 euros. The man now goes into jail for three months instead.
