barcelona, spain - Barcelona's sporting director Deco reveals Spain winger Nico Williams' strong interest in moving to Camp Nou, with the player emerging as the club's top target.

Nico Williams: Potential Move to Barcelona

Barcelona's sporting director Deco has confirmed that Spain winger Nico Williams is eager to join the Camp Nou from Athletic Club, emerging as a top priority for the team.

Barcelona's Winger Search

Deco highlighted the need to strengthen the winger position, with Nico Williams being a key target after discussions with his agent, Felix Tainta. The club is evaluating options based on quality and price, with Nico showing a strong desire to make the move.

Deco emphasized the importance of meeting the right conditions for any potential deal, considering Nico's release clause of around €58 million. Barça aims to add another winger to the squad, with Williams, Luis Díaz, Marcus Rashford, and Ivan Perišić in contention.

Previous Attempts and Future Plans

Last summer, Barça's attempt to sign Williams was impeded by uncertainties over the player's LaLiga registration, leading to an incomplete deal. However, the club remains keen on securing the 22-year-old's services, especially after his significant role in Spain's Euro 2024 triumph.

Deco's recent statements indicate a strong interest in Nico Williams, suggesting that Barcelona is actively pursuing the talented winger to enhance their squad for upcoming seasons.
