rome - Both the Italian and international trade unions of journalists raise alarm about the curtailment of press freedom in Italy. The government in Rome even wants to stop indirect state support for media and calls on state-owned companies not to advertise in newspapers anymore. There should be as few 'impure' publishers of daily newspapers as possible.
