Netflix introduces PIN codes for series

scotts valley - Netflix users can put each series and every film behind a wall. Then a special pin code is needed to view the production. For example, parents can prevent their children from watching a film for which they are still too young.

'We understand that every family is different and that parents think differently about what is appropriate for certain ages,' says Netflix driver Mike Hastings. Currently, users can only set certain age categories, for example 18-plus, to be placed behind a pin code.

Netflix will also show the age rating more clearly when someone presses play. This should prevent surprises during viewing.
